Offtake-Backed Financing Advisory
Lenders finance offtake contracts when the contract, the buyer and the cash controls hold up. We prepare the transaction so they can be assessed.
Start Client IntakeWho This Is For
Mining companies, metals and agricultural producers, processors and project sponsors with a signed or advanced offtake contract who want to use it to raise prepayment, pre-export or project debt.
What FG Capital Advisors Does
- Review the offtake contract: buyer quality, tenor, volumes, pricing formula and termination rights.
- Design the repayment logic, cash waterfall and collection account.
- Set collateral controls such as assignment of proceeds, buyer notices and title or warehouse controls.
- Prepare the lender-ready file and financial model.
- Approach suitable banks, trade finance funds, traders and credit funds, then coordinate terms.
How The Process Works
Submit the transaction through our intake. We assess it, and where it fits our scope we issue a written proposal. Once engaged, we structure the deal, prepare materials and run the lender approach through to closing. Our offtake agreement financing guide sets out what lenders test. See also metals and minerals trade finance advisory.
What To Send In The Intake
The offtake agreement or term sheet, buyer details, production history and forecast, financing amount and use of proceeds, existing debt and security, and recent financial statements.

Start Client IntakeFrequently Asked Questions
What is offtake-backed financing?
It is funding repaid from sales under a contract with a buyer, such as a prepayment, a pre-export facility or project debt.
Does the offtake buyer have to provide the funding?
No. The buyer can prepay, but banks, funds or traders can also lend against the contract if they accept the buyer and the controls.
Can a non-binding offtake be financed?
Usually not. Lenders look for binding volume and payment obligations, a creditworthy buyer and clear termination terms.
