Inventory Finance Advisory

Stock on shelves, in warehouses, or in transit is working capital you have already paid for. The right inventory facility lets you borrow against it, so you can buy more, fill larger orders, and smooth out seasonal swings.

FG Capital Advisors works out how much your inventory can support, prepares you for appraisal and lender diligence, and places the facility with the lender best suited to your stock.

Structures We Arrange

Asset-Based Revolvers

A borrowing base line secured by inventory and receivables, drawn and repaid as stock is bought and sold. Suited to distributors, manufacturers, and retailers.

FILO and Stretch Tranches

Extra availability above the standard advance rate, for companies that need more liquidity than a plain revolver gives.

Warehouse and Commodity Finance

Loans and repos against metals, energy, and agricultural stock held in third-party or controlled warehouses, often backed by warehouse receipts and a collateral manager.

Inventory Purchase and Consignment

A financier buys the inventory and releases it to you as you sell. Useful where secured lending isn't available, or the balance sheet needs the stock off it.

What Lenders Will Look At

An inventory lender sizes the facility on what the stock would fetch in an orderly sale, not what you paid for it. Before you apply, we review your inventory the way their appraiser and field examiners will.

  • Net orderly liquidation value
  • Turnover and aging
  • Slow-moving and obsolete stock
  • Locations and in-transit goods
  • Perpetual records and cycle counts
  • Margins and cost accounting
  • Existing liens

How We Work

  1. Borrowing base estimate. We analyse your inventory reports, aging, and receivables to estimate realistic availability and spot ineligible stock.
  2. Readiness work. We fix reporting gaps, prepare the borrowing base template, and get your records ready for appraisal and field exam.
  3. Credit package. We write the credit memorandum and assemble the data room, including financials, inventory data, customer and supplier detail, and the use of funds.
  4. Lender selection. We approach bank ABL desks, non-bank asset-based lenders, commodity financiers, or inventory purchase providers, depending on your size and stock type.
  5. Term sheet to closing. We compare offers on availability, pricing, reserves, covenants, and fees, then coordinate diligence and documentation through to funding.

FG Capital Advisors is an advisor, not a lender. Lenders make their own credit decisions, and advance rates, pricing, and approval depend on appraisal and diligence.
