Early-Stage Mining Project Investments

FG Capital Advisors allocates capital through the FG Capital Battery Metals & Critical Minerals Fund and affiliated investment vehicles into early-stage mining projects with verified concession rights, credible geology and a defined path to resource value creation.

We invest as principal where capital can move a project from mineral rights and technical evidence toward resource definition, strategic sale, joint venture, royalty, stream, offtake finance or mine development funding.

Capital Allocation Mandate

FG Capital Advisors invests across upstream mining assets where control, documentation and execution discipline can convert early-stage resource exposure into value. We target projects with legal control, mineral evidence, a practical work program and a clear next capital event.

We are not a broker, advisor or placement agent for these opportunities. We invest through our own vehicles or affiliated investment structures where the asset meets our principal investment criteria.

Eligible Mining Assets

Battery Metals Copper, cobalt, lithium, nickel, manganese and graphite projects tied to electrification, grid investment, storage and industrial demand.
Strategic Minerals Tin, tantalum, selected rare earth exposure and industrial minerals with exportable demand and defensible jurisdictional logic.
Precious Metals Gold and polymetallic assets where title, geological evidence, local execution and development economics are credible.
Distressed Mining Assets Undercapitalized assets with recoverable value, clean title, fixable execution gaps and a realistic restart or sale path.
Resource Definition Projects Assets requiring drilling, sampling, technical reports, metallurgical work or feasibility preparation to reach the next value event.
Strategic Exit Candidates Projects with a credible path to farm-in, strategic sale, royalty, stream, offtake-backed financing or mine development funding.

Investment Thesis

Early-stage mining value is created when capital reduces the right risks in the right order. The first tranche should not be wasted on broad promotion. It should clarify title, confirm geology, advance technical work, improve the data room and prepare the asset for a larger institutional, strategic or industrial capital event.

Our investment thesis is based on controlled exposure to resource optionality. We seek assets where a defined capital program can change the project’s value profile through concession security, resource evidence, feasibility work, offtake interest, royalty economics, streamability or strategic buyer appeal.

What We Underwrite

Required Strengths

Verified concession rights, ownership history, credible maps, geological evidence, technical work plan, sponsor alignment, local execution capacity, site access, export route logic and a defined use of proceeds.

Hard Exclusions

Disputed title, sanctioned counterparties, undocumented concessions, broker-only submissions, unverifiable artisanal supply chains, no-map mineral claims, no legal control and requests for capital before basic KYC and title review.

Stage Fit

Select the closest project stage below. This guide shows the type of evidence expected before an opportunity can move deeper into investment diligence.

License-stage projects must show concession rights, ownership history, local partner structure, maps, government filings and a realistic technical work plan.
